Hi friends! Welcome back to reality! Did everyone have a wonderful July 4th weekend? David and I spent the weekend in Houston and it was a ghost town. The stores and streets were eerily quiet - so I know a lot of you were out enjoying yourselves. :) We managed to keep busy by watching fireworks, spending time with family and friends, breaking in David's new Big Green Egg & doing some work on the house (details coming this week). We are always thrilled to celebrate our nations birthday & the freedoms of this great country. It's one of our favorite holidays!

This week I am doing a little cleanse and trying to focus on my health. I am giving up alcohol, caffeine, carbs, sugars, etc and giving my body a little reset. It should be interesting, haha. But before I get back to this morning protein shake, here are five things you should try this week:
